We are looking for volunteers to provide some hands-on help moving some compost material off the bones of a Blue Whale that is being composted at the Faculty of Agriculture.
In May 2017, a 62 foot Blue Whale washed up on the South Shore of Nova Scotia and a collaboration between the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Science was developed. The goal is to process the bones through composting methods to bring them into a preserved state for mounting as a display for the university.
Volunteers will be provided with the necessary protective equipment.

Anyone interested in helping out please contact Dr. Gordon Price at: gprice@dal.ca or by phone 902-890-2037
