Master student, Jenny Shin, from Bio-system Automation & Robotics Lab received the grand prize in the oral presentation session in 2019 American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) conference at Boston.
ASABE is an international professional society devoted to agricultural and biological engineering. The conference was an awesome meeting place for Jenny as an master student in Engineering department.
Writing a presentation script, getting feedback from the supervisor and colleagues and practicing a lot until memorizing the script helped her a lot when giving a presentation. Her presentation topic was the detection of powdery mildew on strawberry leaves using machine vision and deep learning.
It was a great experience to give a presentation in front of many professionals and professors. Also, motivation for research has been further enhanced by meeting people who share similar research topics.
Congratulations!
