Join the International office and a group of faculty and staff for a two-day gender and development training on 14th and 15th November.
We are looking for people to join us with an interest in gender and development and those that are interested in getting more involved in international projects and build their gender mainstreaming skills for future project work.
No experience necessary. Facilitated by an external consultant, this training will introduce basic gender concepts including gender mainstreaming, gender analysis and intersectional gender analysis. We will review the Gender based approach used by the Federal government and particularly by Global Affairs Canada.
We will apply these concepts in the context of international development work, feminist theory of change and particularly for Dal-AC international programming. Contact Hannah Pugh Hannah.pugh@dal.ca  or Balakhrishnan Prithiraj BPrithiviraj@Dal.Ca for more information, and let us know if you’d like to attend by November 1st.
