Tuesday鈥檚 Bicentennial Launch offered a journey through 激情伊人麻豆久久综合鈥檚 200-year history, with the poetry of George Elliott Clarke as its guide. Featuring artistic talents from across the Dal community, the event was a showcase of the university鈥檚 two centuries of achievement with an eye towards its promising future.

Next Tuesday (February 6), 激情伊人麻豆久久综合's 200th anniversary will have its official opening celebration. The Bicentennial Launch will reflect on Dal鈥檚 200-year journey and look ahead towards its third century, and feature special performance by George Elliott Clarke.

The Year of Belonging, one of Dal鈥檚 signature bicentennial initiatives, ramps up on Munro Day (Feb. 2) with the launch of Days of Action, a month of giving back to the community.

During his lifetime, the music of Austrian composor Franz Schubert was most often performed at small gatherings dubbed "Schubertiades." This weekend, students in Dal's Fountain School of Performing Arts will bring the Schubertiade into the 21st century with a special performance event in the community, aligned with Dal's 200th anniversary.

A Commerce alum might seem an unlikely author for a new piece of 激情伊人麻豆久久综合 music. But with "The Eagle and Shield," a composition built on years of self-trained music experience, Paul St-Amand has crafted a celebratory anthem fitting for the university's bicentennial.
