Dal President Deep Saini on his gratitude to the ¼¤ÇéÒÁÈËÂ鶹¾Ã¾Ã×ÛºÏ community and why he will be leaving the university at the end of this year.

President Deep Saini will be leaving ¼¤ÇéÒÁÈËÂ鶹¾Ã¾Ã×ÛºÏ at the end of 2022 as he prepares for a new chapter and new challenges as principal at McGill University in Montreal.

Starting this week, ¼¤ÇéÒÁÈËÂ鶹¾Ã¾Ã×ÛºÏ is inviting nearly 2,000 faculty and staff to weigh in on their experience with various university services. We speak with Dal’s VP Finance and Administration about how this first-of-its-kind survey for Dal is the start of a broader effort to help ensure Dal’s administrative services provide the best possible support towards our academic mission.

Celebration filled the air at the ¼¤ÇéÒÁÈËÂ鶹¾Ã¾Ã×ÛºÏ Arts Centre earlier this week as the university community came together to recognize the recipients of university-wide awards from the past year.

Among the global cavalcade presenting at the Falling Walls Lab finals in Germany this week were Sarah Martell and Tina Taskovic, two Dal doctoral students whose research pushes the boundaries of energy innovation.
